For dinner I met Pallavi at Oyamel which is a mexican tapa's place near the DC chinatown. While there I started with chips with salsa and guacamole. I then had a carnitas taco with tomatillo sauce and, for the sake of my blog, I ordered a grasshopper taco!! I also had an extra order of tortiallas to eat everything with. I put several pictures of the grasshopper taco at a few stages of the eating process for you to see although it's hard to make out the actual grasshopers. Believe me, they are actual grasshopers although I couldn't stare at them too long without getting physched out. I can't comment too much on the taste because I didn't try to savor them too much since they are bugs. They were a little salty and very buggy.
